Julie Montagu nee Fisher

Julie Montagu:

The 11th Earl of Sandwich allegely squirmed a little when his son the viscount contaminated the famous hereditary hunting and shooting line of sandwiches by marrying an American Vegan!

Luke Timothy Charles Montagu, Viscount Hinchingbrooke (born 5 December 1969) married Julie Fisher from Chicago, Illinois, on 11 June 2004. Their first son William James Hayman was born 2 November 2004

The infiltration of this famous family was exposed in the September 2010 issue of Tatler, titled 'My Vegan Life'

Dale Vince Vegan Football Hero

Beef Burgers, Sausages and Pies banned from Football Stadium: Big shout to Dale Vince, the guy behind Ecotricity - the sustainable energy innovators. Dale has taken Beef off the menu at Forest Green Rovers Football club where he is Chairman.

Dale said on the club's website
"The decision was taken on performance and health grounds.
Following that it seemed quite right that if red meat was not good enough to feed our players, then it wasn't good enough for our staff, fans and visitors too.

Consequently red meat is now off the menu at Forest Green Rovers. We're simply saying we won't any longer provide Red Meat at the club. We've taken it off the menu.  This is a part of a bigger picture move - it's about improving the quality of food at FGR, about providing better quality, healthy food all round."

Another step closer to the 2011 Plantarian goal of a One World Day Record for meat free healthy and sustainable living

James Southwood - Shelter

James Southwood is fundraising for Shelter:

Super Vegan and The President of the Great Britain Savate Federation is in for a Vertical Rush to raise money for Charity.

He says "On 3rd March 2011, I am participating in Vertical Rush - it's a race to the top of Tower 42 in the City of London - up the stairs - all 183 metres of them! I'm doing it in order to do something difficult and to raise funds for Shelter."

920 steps give the guy a quid or two for his efforts.

That should help inspire more people to think about a plant based diet and help us towards our goal for the One World Day New World Record

Bill Clinton goes vegan to reverse heart disease (VIDEO) - Vegsource.com

Bill Clinton goes vegan to reverse heart disease (VIDEO) - Vegsource.com:

This is probably the biggest thing since Oprah Winfrey went Vegan for a month!!!!

Former US President Bill Clinton here on video talking about how he is "experimenting" with a Vegan Diet to lose weight, stay healthy and protect his heart so he lives to see his grandchildren.

He's been encouraged by a health trial that's seen 86% of people on a plant based diets improve their heart health, reduce bad cholesterol and deposits blocking their heart's efficiency. That puts drug trial results in the shade so no wonder he's keen.

Heather resisted the temptation to get legless on her businesses first birthday running here there and everywhere making sure everyone had a great time in the Sussex sunshine by the seaside.

If you haven't been yet make sure you make the most of the great british summer and the Brighton seaside town - the cafe is just along the beach from the Brighton now derelict old 2nd pier in Hove in a lovely setting for families with a kids play ground right on the doorstep, the lagoon and the shore.

Make sure you are hungry as there are fantastic vegan cakes you won't want to miss, that drift past you temptingly on a YO Sushi! style conveyor belt. They are as good as they look and you wouldn't know they are vegan to taste or look at them.

Affordable Vegan Fashion

Leona Lewis to design with Stella's help (Vogue.com UK)

Looks like vegan Leona Lewis has a fighting chance to make affordable Vegan Fashion work where other's have failed. Following in the footsteps of Vegan filmstar Natalie Portman, Leona Lewis has long muted the idea of affordable ethical fashion. An alternative to the celebrity only price tag of Stella McCartney's creations from her shop off Regent Street in London. After clearly impressing the fashion guru from the McCartney dynasty, Leona looks ever more likely to realise her dream of an ethical vegan fashion range available on the high street according to Vogue - and they should know potential when they see it.
